Young Talent High Performance Center 'Sports Park Red Devils'
At 1. FC Kaiserslautern, we take our responsibility to provide a platform for young players to develop their talents very seriously. Since the year 2000, young talented FCK players have been trained at the 'Sports Park Red Devils'. The area of 27,000 square meters embraces four turf fields and two artificial turf fields as well as an office building. It is the location, however, that is particularly remarkable for the Fröhnerhof in Mehlingen.
Surrounded by the Palatinate Forest, but still only eight kilometers away from the Fritz Walter Stadium, the 'Sports Park Red Devils' offers young talented players ideal possibilities and facilities to train their physical fitness and develop their skills and abilities. There are, for example, six running tracks in a hillside location for uphill and downhill sprints, an 800 meter long running track made of bark mulch as well as a hillside running trail.
Concerning the organization, the 'Sports Park Red Devils' is well set too. Manfred Paula, head of the Young Talent High Performance Center, Dirk Walter, and the three coordinators Marco Haber (U19 to U16 teams), Helmut Zahn (U15 to U12 teams) and Christian Schlarb (U11 to U9 teams), are in charge of the 10 youth teams and the amateur team of FCK.
